Towards a Gender-Responsive SAP (2028)

The Strategic Action Programme (SAP) will include gender-responsive objectives and commitments to ensure that groundwater governance benefits all communities equitably.

This article will detail how gender and ethnicity findings from the TDA are incorporated into SAP objectives and strategies, with commitments endorsed by both governments.

The Cambodia–Mekong Delta Aquifer Sustainability (CMDA) Project is funded by the Global Environment Facility (GEF) International Waters Programme, implemented by FAO in partnership with the Governments of Cambodia and Viet Nam that are represented by the Department of Water Resources, Ministry of Agriculture and Environment Cambodia and the Department of Water Resource Management, Ministry of Agriculture and Environment. The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) is the executing agency of the project, while UNESCO and Mekong Region Futures Institute (MERFI) are co-executing agencies.
